I think 9-7 is a possibility, or 8-8, 10-6 is a best case scenario.

Sure. It's an approximation. I think they'll win in Wembley but perhaps lose to Miami. They'll split with Cinci but we could win in Cinci and lose at home.

I'd still rather have our situation than Baltimore's. We at least have enough DBs.and LBs to even field a line up. We have a better qb and a better o line. WRs are a wash. They have a better RB, but that's becoming irrelevant. They still have ngata and suggs, but other than that, they are really weak with even more holes than we do

Yeah, I wouldn't mind them not winning the league as long as they're able to win the FA Cup.

Rocco, I was going to come here and post the same complaint as you, but apparently Pro Football Focus graded Spaeth to be the best run blocking TE in the league last year. Maybe its actually a decent signing, I would just like to see some new blood in the franchise at some point.

I don't read them with any regularity, but all I remember of them is in 2007 they had Randy Moss as something like the 10th best receiver that year b/c of his blocking (which was ridiculous). I'm generally skeptical of sites that attempt to grade linemen and blocking- it's tough to say exactly who gets credit for a good run unless you know the assignments. Thing is though, they already had him and deemed him not good enough. We all watched him and saw he wasn't good enough. Chicago took him and decided he wasn't good enough. But since he played for them, he's part of the secret society.

Spaeth sucks. He single handedly cost us the Jets game during the regular season the last SB year by knocking down a pass that was not intended for him that would have been a TD and then dropped the ball on the next play. But let's bring him back because why not...

I agree. I'm just desperately looking for some sort of silver lining.

I read that blocking grade too and was surprised. I thought Spaeth was a so-so blocker with the Steelers. I'm okay with signing him if he's become a good blocker. Pope is a wuss who won't be back and Paulson looks like a pass catcher only(if he even becomes back up material in that task). David Johnson wasn't a consistent blocker at TE or FB and he's coming back from a major knee injury, so their blocking from a #2 TE is sketchy. What they need is a competent 2 way TE to fill in until Miller is ready to go full speed. That may take 1/2 the season without a key contributor.They may go for one in the 3-4 rounds of the draft if a good one is there.

Is there any equivalent to capgeek for the NFL. I know the Cowboys can't spend at all really, though fortunately they don't terribly need to(they'll lose in week 17 either way ), but I don't really know where all the money is going for any team.
