Best all inclusive resorts?

My fiancee and I are looking into honeymoon destinations. We want to go somewhere that all we have to do is get up in the morning, get dressed and relax. Don't want to worry about paying for food, drinks, etc. Just get up, go to the beach, chill out, have some good food and drink the nights away. Anyone have any favorite locations for such a thing? We've been looking at Sandals, but I'm curious as to if anyone has any suggestions.

Sandals is great, but don't stay at Sandals Whitehouse. The resort is nice, but it's very remote and the water isn't nice because it's in a bay.

Went to Barcelo Bavaro in Dominican Republic this summer. Immaculate resort, not too expensive, alcohol flowing out of every corner, super easy to get up and do nothing but relax. But the food wasn't very good and the beach wasn't the most scenic beach I've ever seen.

We were thinking about going to Sandals Grande Riviera. They have a deal on a room now that was like $3100 with butler service which I hear is a must at Sandals. So I was really looking into it, until I found out that its on the other "Side" of the resort and you need a cab to get to the main part of the resort (beach, restaurants, etc). womp womp

I really want to avoid Jamaica and go to the Bahamas but I think we'll end up at Sandals Royal Caribbean

yea i have been looking at a few mexican resorts in cancun/playa del carmen and a few in ixtapa and the value is pretty strong

My college roommate went down to cancun and paid like $800 all inclusive including Airfare. Thats just redonkulous

I've stayed at the Viva Wyndham resorts on Grand Bahama Island and in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. Both were very good.

And a word to the wise, still tip. I know they tell you not to at an all inclusive resort. But I tipped the cleaning staff and bar staff every day. Our room was spotless with extra towels and water. We were always served first at the bars.

My buddy went somewhere in Mexico and I remember him saying he tipped the guy that carried his luggage to his room $20. For the rest of the week that guy did anything for him. He even left the resort to get him a case of beer.

I atayed here a couple years back, great views and crystal clear water. Food was alright, but it's that way at most inclusive resorts, lots and lots of alcohol

Solid - but a lot of walking from buliding to building. Adult only which was nice - though by afternoon they did start to party hard at the pool.

One thing I thought was insane - was bringing your own container to the pool bars. If you brought a 64 ounce Sheetz Fizzonator - they would literally fill it with alchohal if you wanted.

My wife and I went to Now Larimar in Punta Cana in September for our honeymoon.. Really enjoyed it there,we definitely plan on doing the all inclusive again sometime.

Has anyone actually done sandals? If I can get a comparable room and all inclusive for $4500 vs. $6000 at Sandals, I might pull the trigger.

stay clear of cancun if you want to explore and get a taste of Mexico, head more south,, playa del carmen is very nice, but very touristy as well. I've backpacked across the Yucatan a couple times and have found the area around Tulum very nice. It still had an authentic Mexico feel that wasn't too commercialized unlike the north and the beaches are amazing. Our honeymoon stay was in Tulum and we didn't stay at an all inclusive resort. We stayed at Los Lirios and at the time we did have to rely on spanish to get by a lot. If I could do it again, I'd probably look into a all inclusive resort in that area. The ruins of Tulum are simply amazing and it's a great hub for travel. Merida and Valladolid are beautiful towns that I highly suggest checking out, I also recommend looking into staying in Merida for a night, it has a wonderful cultural life. Chichen Itza, Tulum, Palenque, Uxmal, Xel-Ha Coba are all world class, hell any of the ruins are incredible. starting to ramble, sorry...

Probably, I am looking at last week of June. i.e. Royal Caribbean Suite with Butler service is $6020 with airfare.

Can't say enough good things about this place. My girlfriend and I went this summer on a killer deal from Jetsetter in which we spent $275'/night for both us. It's super relaxed. It's super small (only 50 rooms or so). No in-your-face entertainment. The staff is great. Huge . I highly recommend it.
