I just found out I will get to ring the opening bell along with the Board Members and CEO of my company as the top Sales performer in our company.

I always joke that I know how to make money, but I rely on others to help me make money with that money. The point being that I am not really that into the market, so I don't have the same appreciation for this as the guys/gals who sit with the ticker on all day. I am still pretty pumped that I get to take part.

Not on my bucket list - I would rather drop the puck at Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals, but I still feel a little like Forrest Gump....."What the heck is THAT guy doing there?!"

Yeah I guess it is. I was once on TV on Bowling for Dollars with Nick Perry back in the day when I grew up in the 'Burgh. This is my next big shot since it is televised. I'm gonna need some spray tan.....

If only a trip to NY was more of a unique thing to me. They are paying for the trip, two nights in a Hotel and all meals - but alas I live in NJ and go there quite bit.

Still very nice to get a few free nights on the town too.

It's a great life if you can do it well. I sell high ticket stuff, so $1M+ deals happen and the $$ are great, but there is a lot of pressure when the sales are big. It's also a "what have you done for me this year" kind of business. Kind of like being an athlete. No resting on laurels.

The upside is I work from home, control my calendar for the most part, can work mobile if I want or need to (Pens games in Pittsburgh) and occassionaly enjoy my travel targets. I also have very little structured management. Pretty good gig right now. That can always change though.

I'm gonna go with Hells Bells in my head. Thanks for the suggestions on the inner theme song.

Hells Bells takes me back to college as a song played in warm-ups that always got me going. Never a big AC/DC fan away from the rink, but that is good arena stuff right there.

I bet I am the only guy on that podium thinking of and AC/DC song.
