The K:BBratio is looking a little better than last year, the total for last year was a little over 3K:1BB, they're under two so far and that's after the offensive no show in the first 6 games. My impression of the team was that the offense would be better than last year, but the pitching a good bit worse.
I think i'm most pleased with the strength of the grilli/melancon late inning combo. Especially seeing Hanrahan struggle in boston, i'd be concerned if i were them, hanrahan's MO has always seemed to me to be to start the season great and then get worn out cause of fatness in the summer.
Exceeding (my) Expectations - Marte, Melancon, Burnett, *Wandy (if he makes his next start), Jones, Grilli
Meeting (my) Expectations - McCutchen, Alvarez, McDonald, Sanchez, Martin, Tabata/Snider, Locke
Below Expectations - Walker, Sanchez, Barmes, Hughes
