What are the specifics of pitching a mahallom again?

Runs in the first inning, or runs in the half-inning after the Pirates score. Maholm specialized in those before he went to Atlanta and gets to pitch to a super-sized strike zone.

Garrett Jones ties the game with a base hit. Still surprised an AL team in need of a lefty bat hasn't seriously tried to get him.

The reverse-maholm into a full-nelson.

No, double Maholms are only on the road where the Pirates score in the first inning. Locke had one against the Dodgers. This would be consecutive Maholms when JWalk gives up a run on 4 straight walks.

Blimpokarovsky doesn't strike out, but still can't get a hit with runners on base.

The Cards have runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out, because JWalk hates his offense.

3-1 Cards. There was a chance JWalk may escape without giving up runs, but that just wouldn't be his style. Pack it in, offense. Anything you do will be wasted. Save the runs for tomorrow.

I'm beginning to think our pitching coach may be part of the issue with all the supposed talent that falls on its face

4-1 Cards because Jones is the galaxy's worst fielder. Go to bed early tonight, folks.

Its up and down the organization. Who was the last pitcher we produced that was worth anything?

Would be nice to have the starts the Bucs got the first week of the season when they couldn't score, now they can score, the pitching goes to hell.
