The Cardinals spent the last 5 innings of that game begging for the Pirates to take it and the Bucs just couldn't do it. I want to punch things.

It was nice to see the almost fight back again, but having numerous games in the span of a week where you're down by 6+ runs within the first couple innings is really not helping them out.

Six runs is a lot for this pop-gun lineup. JMac killed it early.

Meh. Could have got back in it if we would have got a base hit in the 7th or 8th with runners on 2nd and 3rd... but 6 runs should get you a win.

Forget about the Barmes error... all it did was chase Jmac an inning earlier... he was throwing batting practice tonight

I had faith that he would bounce back. But I also had an inclination that he would struggle in the first half and then be solid in the second half of the season. I think he's basically establishing himself as a guy that can't keep it together for a whole season.

He's pretty worthless, atleast they didn't throw a ton of money at him last year when he was looking great.

I think it's very likely he's hurt and his postgame comments don't do much to change that opinion.

Lance Lynn should send a bouquet to the umpire.

Four pitch walk to the lead off hitter. That couldn't possibly come back to bite us could it?

4 pitch walk to start the game for Sanchez. This game will be a disaster.

I didn't watch the video but Dejan was blasting the Pirates for signing injured pitchers for depth. Didn't he spend the offseason saying Karstens was perfectly healthy and the vicious rumors that he was hurt were untrue?

Go find tWo sober guys on the South Side and suit 'em up. It's cheaper, even if it takes a while to find them.

So will the Pirates go quietly here with 3 Ks in the first inning, or will they load the bases with none out and somehow get nothing? And why the hell is Tabata playing against a RHP when Snider hasn't been worthless?

They'll get six runs and the storm will shut it down.
