Nice of Tabata to watch 6 pitches there in striking out. Didn't know Vogelsong was that overpowering.

That was pitch number 45 for Ryan Vogelsong; his effectiveness may start slipping, as he holds opposing hitters to a .303 average in the first 45 pitches but they hit .348 off him after that.

Pedro is 14 K behind Chris Carter for the lead in MLB. He better get to work.

That stat doesn't figure in certain outliers like the Pirates batting.

Does what we're doing rise to the level of "batting?"

I think this is another AJ goes six, leaves and the Pirates put up three runs and win 4-2 kind of day

What's more irritating about Pence? His dumb socks, his bug eyes, the ridiculous practice swings, or his batting stance that looks like he's about to fall over at any minute? I'm glad the Pirates never went after him so I wouldn't have to look at that every night

1-17 for Jones on this road trip. Can they perform a burial at sea for his body or will they bring him home for a viewing?

He hasn't been around long enough to be intimidated by the man, the myth, the legend that is Ryan Vogelsong.
