The Pirates are in no position to assume that much risk for that much money

Being that St Louis made the WS...again, does the sting of losing to them maybe go away a little bit?

no.

but maybe having been up 2-1 on them when the Dodgers couldn't manage the same is a positive.

They're the steelers of baseball. I know how everyone feels when they say they are tired of the steelers. I have no rational reason for hating the cards, I'm just tired of them. They do it the right way

I think losing Beltran is going to hurt their offense a lot, but it will still be formidable next year, they'll probably just play Craig in right and Adams at 1B. The pitching staff...that's not even fair. Wainwright, Wacha, Kelly, Miller/Lynn/Garcia. Plus Martinez as more rotation depth.

Does anyone pay for the Baseball America Articles? Their draft grade for the Pirates came out, they listed Pirates as having the best draft. I would like to know what later round guys they are high on.

Also, people hate Steelers fans much like they hate Cards fans. I don't really hate the team- they're annoyingly good at everything they do and make great decisions and that just gets old after a while when you're hoping they do something dumb to give everyone else a chance.

I understand the steelers are in a down year but are you really going to argue that there's a better franchise? It was also a nod to their way of homegrown players without big signings. Just consistency all around

Why do reporters pick at players via twitter and then act like victims when they fire back?

It's not a matter of hating their team. I used to post on a StL-based sports board and their fans are arrogant, worse than front-running Steelers/Pens fans combined. If you thought the bridge-jumping after a loss was bad here, you need to check out some of their boards.

To be fair, the best Cardinals hitters are both free agent acquisitions

AJ tweeted something about wondering why only Cutch and Hurdle were there at the steelers game representing the bucs, and then Dunlap put out a really **** tweet against it, tagging @wudeydo34 in it

Dunlap isn't much older than Poni, maybe 4-5 years, but point taken.

The part that drives me nuts is how these low-rent media personalities act they're the victims after the things they say to these players.

Colin, you're the 10pm-2am guy on FM radio, you couldn't be more irrelevant

They think sports people have to talk to them and they act like children when their demands arent met. i get that they have a job to do, but when you consistently write scathing criticisms of people to sell papers/clicks, what do they expect? you can only beat a dog so many times before they bite you.
