May schedule:

Day off, 3 vs. Washington, day off, 2 vs. Seattle, 4 @ Mets, 4 vs. Milwaukee, 3 vs. Houston, day off, 3 vs. Cubs, 3 @ Milwaukee, 2 @ Detroit, 2 vs. Detroit, 1 vs Cincy. Not easy but less of a death march.

I don't know if I'd ever call a stretch "easy" for the pirates but.. That's as easy as it's going to get for a 31 day stretch.

6-4 on this road trip. Who exactly is upset about that?

This one win completely changes the takeaway perspective and momentum from this trip. What a series for Marte.

He's been our best player so far this year.

Everything will be fine until the series at Petco in August, then the four(!) game series against that same Padre team at PNC Park in September.

Really glad that they pulled that out yesterday. This team has such a tenuous hold on the non die hards I think, I feel like we're all just waiting for the wheels to fall off.

Still can't win at Miller Park, I'm anxious to see how the staff responds against Washington after that poor showing in Milwaukee. Huge props to Starling Marte, i think a great comp for him right now is Austin Jackson with a higher hit tool ceiling.

Also thank heavens the Gaby Sanchez trade is working out, that has to be one of the most productive platoons in baseball right now.

I'd like to come out of that 15-12. I know that isn't a great record but anything above that would be gravy.

They need to take care of business vs Seattle, Mets, Houston, and Cubs. .500 or better vs the other games would make me satisfied at this point.

They have 7 against milwaukee. They need to take it to them in Pittsburgh, win that 4 game series. Milwaukee is a team that really benefits from their home field advantage. The splits aren't really showing yet this year, but last year they were 17 over at home and 13 under 500 on the road.

I agree. Winning that 4 game series would be huge because even at 3-1, as long as they take 1 in Milwaukee, they come out off those 7 at 4-3.

We now have an official "WTF, Hurdle?" GIF.

Mock the video all you want, but El Blimpo is rocking a Thundercats t-shirt which redeems the whole thing.

Saw Karstens at Pittsburgh International last summer saying goodbye to some hottie hanging on his arm as she was getting in the security line. Its amazing what money can do.
