Pedro's spot in the order....where rallies go to die.

At this point, I'd take another Clint Barmes at 3b over Pedro. He is sucking the life out of this team.

Once again I go out and you people drop the ball. Am I really going to have to sacrifice what little social life I have?

Great work by Hurdle to once again not use his best relievers in a close game.

It's not much of one and it won't exist if you rabble can't handle simple tasks.

Tim Williams nicely points out that Hurdle and basically every other manager is an idiot for the way they manage their bullpen. Is there value in every player knowing their role? Sure, but you end up losing games like yesterday where you never get a chance to fire your two best bullpen bullets when you have golden opportunities to use them.

Hahaha awesome. We were right near there, trying to understand the frisbee game. I feel the bros were *kind of* vindicated when I looked in the mirror today and got quite a tan on my face just from tailgating (we were in the shade the entire game) but still, it was in the high 60s and the bros couldn't wait to lose the shirts lol

todays lineup is god awful. this gentleman is happy to be golfing this afternoon instead of watching russel martin play third, inge play right and mcdonald play shortstop

btw, the end of that game annoyed the living hell out of kenny the kangaroo

1.) did anyone notice that in a tie game, davey johnson used tyler clippard and drew storen aka their best two setup men?

2.) did anyone notice that in a tie game, clint hurdle used MATW, justin wilson and vin mazzaro?

3.) Did anyone else wonder why in the 9th inning, after MATW pitched a questionable 8th inning, then hit a guy in the 9th inning, watson stuck around?

4.) Did anyone else wonder why in the 9th inning, after MATW let ryan zimmerman steal third standing because MATW had his head up his rear end, he was allowed to stay in the game?

Good grief, charlie brown.

Why are the Pirates so determined lately to give runs back immediately after scoring?

Good lord. Roy Halladay has given up nine earned runs to the Miami Freaking Marlins in less than 3 innings.

3-2 Nats. Martin doubles home Basura Caliente. Leyva will hold Marte but send Sanchez. Don't get it.

Martin at 2nd, none out, doesn't score. The Pirates are really good at wasting opportunities.

Contreras gives up a single then gets a foul bunt and 2 Ks. I trust him more than Hughes already.

If he pitches too well he'll end up being pigeonholed by Hurdle such that he's only allowed to pitch in the 7th inning when we're leading

Melancon is on pace for 89 innings. He's pitching plenty enough, no?
