I was Marmol watching. Pleasantly surprised he didn't self-immolate. I guess I got carried away.
Carry on then. Marmol watching is always enjoyable.

Should be a good pitching matchup today with F-Her against AJ Burnett. I'm also morbidly curious to see what El Blimpo does against a good pitcher when Harang owned him last night.

Well, obviously the McCutchen whining was ridicuolous. Alvarez is still on a similar pace as to last year...but he needs to show signs of life soon or i'll start to have some concern.

Cutch nearly disappeared for most of the second half of last year and wasn't very Cutch-like so far (granted he was still one of our best players). It's okay to ask questions about the guy that's supposed to carry the team.
Troy Loney wrote:Duke Welker brought up, just have to hope he throws strikes when he gets into a game. He has some pretty unhittable stuff, on the year for AAA he's given up 3 hits in 16 innings.

His April numbers were similar to previous Aprils, and all of his peripherals (walk rate, swing/miss rate, etc.) were the same as last year. He was simply unlucky with balls being put into play and it's normalizing now, just like how things normalized on him last year when he couldn't sustain a pace that only Bonds on steroids could sustain.

Is that all we produce, relief pitchers?
