Good work by the Buccos to squander a leadoff double.

Well, to be fair, it was going to be two outs when Marte came up to hit with two pitching spots due to bat.

So, this game hinges on the pirates getting Hernandez out of there. I say use the prime relievers first to push this to extra innings....any chance Hurdle does that?

There is hope.

Wrong one. Fat Matt is in Minnesota. That's Carter Capps.

There's more than one Capps in baseball?

I feel like a bad fan for not knowing that.

El Blimpo has a chance to put the Pirates ahead. That's a fun dream.

The one time a strikeout would have been better and he can't even do that.

Pat Lackey ‏@whygavs 39s
"Eighth inning? One run deficit? This is a situation that calls for Vin Mazzaro!" said Clint Hurdle into the vacuum of space.

Mazzaro walks the leadoff hitter because **** you that's why.

I also think it would be great if we could throw melancon and grilli every game.

If it were tied, i'd have gone the melancon/grilli route...now they need to get to hernandez...might as well give those two the day off.

Jose only pitches every 4 days, so he can get to and from his nursing home in time. Wilson would have been fine. Ended up working out anyway.

The Fort has a chance to win the game against a dude who throws 98 MPH. Not getting my hopes up.
