Martin almost looked like he was disappointed he wasn't going to get to swing there.

5-2 Bucs. Tabata hustled out an infield hit. He'll probably be back on the DL after that.

Samardijza (meh) has always struck me as one of those pitchers that had frustrated our bats in the past

Liriano with a walk, sac bunt, and RBI single. Impressive

When you've done something your entire life it's not that easy to simply do it differently.

They did say that the middle of the season is not the time to switch. Something to do in the off-season and through Spring ball.

True, FWIW he's 20 pts higher from the right than he was last time I saw his numbers.

Sure would be nice if Tabata can be the right fielder we were looking for.

Do you walk Mercer to get to Liriano? He's swinging a hot bat. :D

I was half-expecting Hurdle to pinch-hit for Liriano. Happy he left him in, he deserves to pitch another inning or two.

I thought that was going to drop in for a second there.

Epically bad version of Take Me Out to the Ballgame.

Thankfully with Bylsma in charge we will never have to hear Craig Adams and Geno butcher the 7th inning stretch at a Pirates game.

I didn't think it was bad considering one of them has to be on postoperative painkillers.

I'd pay good money to hear Geno sing that.
