I've heard they are extremely shady with shipping charges, as in misquoting every single order.

I can't see paying $30 + shipping for a dozen choc covered strawberries. My wife makes her own for 1/3 of the price

The wife's was $19.99 +$9.99 shipping. A little pricey but GD they're good. At first I was like $9.99 what the eff. However they icepack the box and insulate it so I can understand it.
