National Parks

If the government decided to close all national parks except one due to financial limitations, which one would you choose to keep and why? This is completely hypothetical.

Would no longer have employees or federal funding, making them nothing but vast wilderness.

Yellowstone. Importance of monitoring the seismic activity there, sensitivity of the ecosystem, danger of the geyser & hot spring areas...

x2 for Yellowstone.

Wrangell-St. Elias would be good, just because it's a National Park that's larger than Maryland.

Also fond of John Pennekamp Park in Florida, but I don't know that it makes sense for an underwater refuge to be the only National Park.

Yosemite, Yellowstone, or Grand Canyon.

If I had to choose only one to be supervised, it'd be Painted Desert/Petrified Forest, simply because of the sheer amount of vandalism and theft that already occurs and would skyrocket if left completely unattended.

Jellystone, unless you can convince Yogi and Boo Boo to move to the one that will stay open.

National Mall and Memorial Parks. We can't have the capital look too slummy, can we?
