You do need to add hot water. :slug:

I've eaten it directly out of MRE packets for the caffeine before but that is it. :scared:

It is possible, however not likely. I had a friend, a Navy Corpsman serving with a Marine Regiment in Iraq, who was quite fond of the instant coffee in MREs.

The Starbucks instant coffee isn't terrible, but I prefer the real deal.

It isn't real coffee unless you brew it once, throw away the grounds and add new ones, dump the coffee you just brewed back into the coffee maker, and brew it again.

Possible, but pointless.

Reminds me of that scene in Mr. Destiny where he eats the instant coffee. Man...I love that movie.

Hotel room coffee makers are the yuck! The water never gets hot enough to properly brew the grounds so the flavor is always weak. Instant yuck in a cup.

It's still a nice feature I do not want to miss.
