Lame.

Anyone have a recommendation for an RSS reader?

I crowd sourced this issue earlier today and the recommendations so far are:

http://blog.feedly.com/2013/03/14/google-reader/
https://www.pulse.me/

I'm going to try them both out soonish.

Cool, I just want something simple and basic like Google Reader. All the current alternatives are too fancy-pants.

I'm irritated by this as well. First they killed iGoogle (not quite dead yet), now Reader, a useful app.

Thanks for the recommendations.

WTF. When Google announced a while back that they were killing off iGoogle later this year, I believe Google told the iGoogle users that they could go use Reader as a replacement.

I've been using feedly on multiple devices (PC Chrome browser, iPad, Android) and although it's a bit different than Reader, it is pretty cool. Much easier to organize feeds and graphically pleasing.

I'm just going to stick with Reader until it's retired and pray they integrate it into Google+. I have not been impressed with any of the alternatives. Change is bad.
