lol?

The guy is a jerkweed, I don't care how many games he wins

Hey, as long as the QB is a good guy, who cares if we win? mirite?

Seriously, if you are concerned about character, you are interested in the wrong sport. And YOU ARE DEFINITELY interest in the wrong team.

And.... if they do hope he plays (Probably 4 or 6 years down the line) then you are hoping your franchise QB is a 4th rounder. That's just stupid.

At this point if the Steelers aren't assuming that BRoeth will miss 1-2 games a season they're delusional.

People made your same argument last year about the Redskins taking a QB in the 4th round. Turns out the Redskins were right.

Yea, I don't think its ever a truly bad thing to have a QB in development at all times. And it would be nice to have a back-up that can actually survive a game.

Isn't that what we have gradkowski for? If he's purely a backup for his time here, then don't you spend that pick farther down in the draft? I get this pick if the Steelers are a better team. I don't get it if they have a bunch of holes like the Steelers currently do.

Gradkowski is a short term. Landry could be a long term back-up/eventual trade asset.

If that is the expectations of the guy, then i can get behind that. I just wouldn't have drafted him that high.

Logic wins the day, supplied by Rylan.

Gradkowski stinks. If you wait much later for a backup QB history shows the QBs here aren't even good enough to be backups.

Sure. And the Packers took Aaron Rodgers in the 1st round and Brian Brohm in the 5th. Guess which one is the best QB in football.

I know you were. But I was waiting for a chance to say that before someone seriously used Brady as an example.

5th round pick- Terry Hawthorne, CB, Illinois. Should have taken Webb in the 4th round.

I really don't know much about these guys now, but kind of concerning how clearly they're drafting for needs. I've always been a proponent of going for BPA (within reason)

BPA is great when that player turns into a productive member of the team that you can fill-in those need areas with stop-gaps. when those BPA's dont work out, you're boned.

Just especially in later rounds, why reach for needs (no clue if they're reaching) for guys who might not make team. At this point just hoping luck out, so go with guy with most talent........ Can't really ever rely on 5th round guy as a "need."

Just my opinion, smarter people than me will disagree

i think thats a valid stance. on the other side of the coin, when you have josh victorian logging minutes, BPA might go out the window for depth at that position.

They have William Gay. How could anyone say CB is a need? If QB isn't a need because Gradkowski's on the roster, then CB is a strength with Gay.
