Conspiracy Theory Thread

Postby pittsoccer33 on Fri Apr 05, 2013 10:35 am

a major political polling outlet released their findings of Americans and their belief in various conspiracy theories. get your tinfoil hat on:

http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/ ... 040213.pdf

My favorites:

- 37% of voters believe global warming is a hoax, 51% do not. Republicans say global warming is a hoax by a 58-25 margin, Democrats disagree 11-77, and Independents are more split at 41-51. 61% of Romney voters believe global warming is a hoax

- 28% of voters believe secretive power elite with a globalist agenda is conspiring to eventually rule the world through an authoritarian world government, or New World Order. A plurality of Romney voters (38%) believe in the New World Order compared to 35% who don’t

- 20% of voters believe there is a link between childhood vaccines and autism, 51% do not

- 14% of voters say the CIA was instrumental in creating the crack cocaine epidemic in America’s inner cities in the 1980’s

- 51% of voters say a larger conspiracy was at work in the JFK assassination, just 25% say Oswald acted alone

- 14% of voters believe in Bigfoot

- 11% of voters believe the US government allowed 9/11 to happen, 78% do not agree

the data proves global warming was a hoax. So the laugher should be that 51% believe the hoax is true.

This one has always bothered me.

There is one piece of physical evidence - the so-called 'magic bullet' - that completely destroys the official Warren Commission account. Without getting into the various dynamic movements this bullet may or may not have done, the possibility of distortion of space-time, etc., one fact remains unexplained: More bullet fragments were deposited in Gov Connolly alone than the 'magic bullet' was missing.

This does not, in and of itself, automatically lead one to conclude that there was a conspiracy to murder the President Kennedy. Nor does it ipso facto mean that LH Oswald didn't commit the crime. But it does sorta point to possible post-shooting shenanigans.

Never heard that one about the Connecticut shootings. Why do the conspiracy theorists think it was the work of the government, to push gun control?

But yeah the 9/11 theory really burns me. I never cared for President Bush, but I would never believe him and his administration would want innocent people to dead so he can invade other countries in the name of terrorism.

I know you don't, i'm just agreeing with you that if there were people that could conspire to do an inside job it would be those two.

I don't believe 9/11 was an inside job at all, but I definitely wonder if the gov didn't have more info than they've let on as to the potential attacks before they happened.

I also don't nec. believe in Bigfoot, but I certainly wouldn't rule out that it might be possible that some exist. :)

I think the Feds may have had intelligence suggesting an attack might happen, but I think it was negligence, not willful murder.
