M-I-C... See you later Annette Funicello. K-E-Y...Why? Because you just passed away at the age of 70. RIP Ms. Funicello and thanks for the childhood memories.

What does it say about me that this legit made me sad, but I felt nothing about Thatcher?

Roger Ebert, Margaret Thatcher, Annette Funicello...pretty random trio

Unfortunately, the mudslinging in that thread would probably get nasty and end up deleting it.

I am too young to know her from her mouseketeer days, or the 60's beach movies, but Back.to the Beach was one of those movies that always seemed to be on when I was a kid. That was a good silly movie.

I think the beach movies ring more a bell than the MMC.

I think this is sarcasm laden...and I agree with said sarcasm. Obscure celebrity deaths are a sure thing for thread starting.

Does obscure mean something different than I think it means?

This woman was the face of the Mickey Mouse club in her younger years, starred (top or co-top billing) in several films and then...was the spokesperson for Skippy peanut butter. Just because you are unaware doesn't make her obscure.

One person not being aware of who someone is doesn't make them obscure.

Many people not knowing who someone is makes them obscure.
