Internet Explorer 10

It's telling me to update from 9. Is it worth installing... stable and all that junk? I have been kind of neglecting my PC lately.

Also use Chrome and Opera.. but to be honest and i hate to say it... IE is for some reason most convenient for me. I hate Chrome, it's too cheap and too plain for my taste. Opera is my 2nd favorite but they're phasing out the addons, I heard.

Mostly use firefox, chrome occasionally, and IE at work.
That said, IE ain't as bad as people make it out to be.

I mostly use Chrome, but Flash has a tendency of crashing more often than not. I've tried this fix (http://www.howtogeek.com/103292/how-to- ... le-chrome/) and it still seems like it crashed at least 4-5 time a week.
I still have Firefox on my home desktop and should probably use it more often.
IE? I use it for work but that's about it.

Per the OP, I have no idea how IE10 is, but I assume it can't be worse.

I mostly use firefox because chrome always crashes with flash.

My disdain for IE mostly has to do with the fact that they make web development a living hell because of the way they do their own thing all the time. This may have gotten better in 9 and 10 but trying to deal with it in the past has sucked balls.

I get paid pretty well to use it. I use firefox as well though. One firefox window for work stuff, one for fantasy/lgp/tsn/espn, one IE window for the work programs that need to run in IE.

I use Chrome pretty exclusively. Haven't had flash crashing problems...a couple of times maybe.

I swore off IE (except I have to use it at work) when random errors happen with it and it is too tied in to windows. Chrome you can just uninstall and reinstall if something goes screwy (and it never has gone screwy). IE back in the day I would have randomly close without warning for no reason. Your screen is there one moment...gone the next. Then, on a different computer...it got corrupt or something and wouldn't open and I had to set up a new "user" in windows, transfer it over, switch admins, delete the old....all this crazy stuff that had nothing to do with the internet or the browser.

At work we are running IE 8...and it was not all that long ago that we switched from 7. A nice improvement over previous iterations, but I would rather have Chrome.

IE 10 actually isn't all that bad. It's not great mind you. And professionally speaking, I recommend using Chrome. But if you are an IE user definitely upgrade to IE10. They've added tons of standards compliance features. It no longer seems like you're getting a watered down web experience.

All that said, it still isn't completely standards compliant and is still quirky as IE is known for. But I highly HIGHLY recommend upgrading to it.

I can't login at NHL.com (or click on the scoreboard) and Gamecenterlive on my Windows RT tablet. So I am not even going to bother with it on my desktop. Might need to test some work related things on it though in the future.

I only use IE10 at home and I think it is very snappy. For some reason I hate using 3rd party software as much as possible (web browsers, media players, etc)

I have IE 10 and have had problems with Scottrade web site and Berkheimer's local tax efile. Was told by Scottrade that they are working on fixes with Microsoft.

IE 10, voted best browser with which to download Chrome and/or Firefox.

I'm almost exclusively Chrome now that I have a phone that can run the mobile version; everything is seamlessly integrated across platforms. Firefox seemed to have lost the plot a bit.

I used Firefox 99% of the time for a number of years and a had a 'plethora' of cool addons for it. But then when I got into using a pc with Windows 7 and didn't have any other browsers installed yet, I began cruising the web with IE 9 and to my surprise, I found it to be pretty OK. It's fast (unless loading a complex js page sometimes) and loads most things right. I recently found a couple of pages where it doesn't load an item or spaces it out wrong, where the other 2 browsers do correctly, but I have little issues with Opera and Chrome, as well. As far as speed and performance, I really don't mind IE now. I don't have any cool things here like I did on Firefox, though.
