8-4????

Can I have some of what you've been smoking?

If WVU wins 6 games in the Big 12, I'll be thrilled.

All I know is Pitt will humiliate themselves by getting thrashed by Duke and then turn around and beat VT.

It's not reverse psychology when you're so optimistic with the win total. I was thinking 3.

the pitt script is the nuclear option for pitt. it is petersons absolute last resort to save his job and save face with fans. there has to be a really really really drastic event for pitt to return the script.

I'm afraid to know what a "really really really drastic" event is after the past 4 years of football. I'm guessing some sort of cocaine/prostitution ring or multiple homicides.

0-12?

12-0?

Hiring Jay Paterno?

Tearing down the cathedral?

Methinks the Panthers go 5-7 also, 6-6 at best, and a berth in some awful mid-south bowl. Or the one in Boise.

http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootbal ... -schedules

2. West Virginia - Index: 1.42: The Mountaineers have a lot of key pieces to replace this season, starting with QB Geno Smith and standout WRs Tavon Austin and Stedman Bailey. Fortunately, for Dana Holgorsen, who in the past has had LSU in the non-conference, he gets William & Mary, which just went 2-9; Georgia State, which just went 1-10 and Maryland, which is 6-18 in the Randy Edsall Era. I suspect the Terps will be much improved from the past two dreadful seasons. Of course by just going 6-6 that'd be significant improvement, but still I think they'll be decent this fall and the game is in Maryland (at the Ravens stadium).

9. (tie) Ohio State - Index: 1.75: Urban Meyer has never lost since taking the OSU job and it's doubtful his Buckeyes will get tripped up in the non-conference. They have a cupcake opener in Buffalo. Then OSU plays a solid San Diego State team before visiting Cal, which was 3-9 last season and has little experience with only nine starters returning. The Buckeyes cap off the four-game run with a visit from FCS FAMU.

Surprised OSU wasn't higher.

Draftnik would not be happy about the Terps being called a soff opponent.

Well whoever wrote that piece (to lazy to look it up), would have probably ranked WVU even lower if the BYB were still on the schedule.

I'm glad it isn't. Pitt doesn't have much to gain playing them this year.

It's a no win situation for Pitt, when you think about it.

Anything other than 12-0 for Louisville has to be considered a major disappointment.

So I just found out that there's a very very very good chance that I'll be spending a major part of this coming fall in Oklahoma and Texas.

Right 'smack dab' in the middle of Big 12 country.

I should probably start planning trips around WVU road games.

Pitt was picked to go to the Belk Bowl vs. Rutgers in a way too early projection by Phil Steele. Bleacher Report, in the joke that it is, doesn't project a Pitt bowl. I had to scroll through like 40 slides to find that out.

I think as I said a 5-7 or 6-6 season is inevitable.

Rushel Shell Hopes to Return to Pitt

Shell never enrolled at UCLA, a source said, which could make his return to Pitt less complicated. However, the source added "nothing has definitely been resolved" about Shell's return to the Panthers.

It's going to be funny watching Pitt let Shell walk all over the school and return to the team under the pathetic guise of "giving the young man a chance to learn from his mistakes. This is a real life lesson for Rushel and an opportunity for him to show his commitment both to his family and the University."

I hope they don't let him come back.

It would be interesting to see if his teammates would want him back.
