So, if some of you caught the OSU-Buffalo game over the weekend, you would've likely seen/heard about Buffalo's senior LB Khalil Mack. Dude out-ran both Braxton Miller and Dontre Wilson, who both run sub-4.5 40's, on an interception return and was pretty much the lone bright spot on Buffalo's D.

I want to know how every school aside from Buffalo missed this kid (Buffalo was the only school who offered him a scholarship). He looks like a first round draft pick, and he only had 1 scholarship offer. Hard to believe.

Yeah, I was watching a little bit of that game. Kid is straight filth. I don't know enough about the inner-workings of football to comment any further, but he was the only thing that stuck out to me in that game...really impressive.

My last "Lock" a couple of years ago was Betting on USF to kick Pitts butt. I placed the biggest bet I ever have in the college football universe and got "SCHOOLED".

So take this with more than a grain of salt.

My lock of the week: Take OU and give the points against WVU. This one is going to be supremely UG-A-LY.

If I could get to Vegas, I'd be tempted to lay about 5 to 10 K on WVU getting blown back to the Cignetti era.

Apparently he was only a 2-star recruit. I'm not sure how people come up with that designation, but his stats from his senior year of high school (140 tackles, 8 TFL, 9 sacks) are pretty good, and close to other LB's who got 4-star designations.

It likely has a good bit to do with where he's from, who he's playing against, how was he before his senior year, etc. One thing a lot of people forget is that there are males that their body is still maturing going into college (I grew 2 inches in college). It's possible they saw him as being undersized or not strong enough and he put the time in the gym to get to where he's at now.

Oh, god, PITT. The worst thing is when you get all hopeful and stuff. Have you not perceived the work of Spilly?

New bottle scotch – check
Windows closed so I won’t embarrass wife – check
Dreaded "Pitt optimism" under control – check
Phone lines to fellow alums set – check
Hopeful expectations realistic – check

Excitement – totally out of control!!!

Lets have a good year – Hail to PITT

Three hours later: empty scotch bottle hurled through window, phone lines ripped out of wall, excitement flatlined. Pitt optimism still under control, though.

What was it like to get Winston'd? Let's find out.

Winston looks calm for a freshman

Is it me or does secondary look lost / beat on every single play.

I think the sideline might be our best-positioned DB

How can our cornerbacks suck so bad

Isn’t our pass D supposed to be the best part, and least worrisome part of the team, preseason?

At least we were happy with our qb for 5 minutes.

Aaaand:

At least they invited Larry Fitzgerald to experience this debacle

He's a senior LB in college football. You might also want to start wondering why 32 NFL teams missed him. I'm guessing its not because he's remained hidden for 3 years. I think its likely that he's needed this time to grow/develop into something that could be great.

That last one is going to be very painful for me to watch.
As I said earlier this week, I should take Oklahoma and give the points, if it's going to be ugly, at least I should make some money from it.

That's what Vegas wants you to think and to take WVU.

21 points will be covered in the first half.
This one is going to get UG-A-LEE very quickly.

OKLA is the only game I am sketchy on. The other 3 I think are solid given the spreads

I think UM can upset UF outright. Moneyline at +135 is tempting.
