I don't think it would necessarily reduce injuries, but it certainly would have an effect on recovery times from injuries.

I would assume it would cut down on non-contact injuries like pulls and minor tears.

Ask Dustin Keller if he'd rather have a concussion or his right knee.

Is that really persuasive? It could be flipped quite easily, especially if you framed the question after your career.

Well, it quite possibly is the end of Keller's career, especially if there's nerve damage. That's why I picked him as the example.

I understand that. Surely, in hind sight, Keller preferred a high hit to a low hit. But that's just an anecdote. It does not follow that low hits are more dangerous than high hits because Keller would have been less injured by a high hit. I reckon high hits have had far worse long term negative effects than low hits. I was never suggesting low hits are not dangerous though.

This is all newspaper on a pee pile until they address the root cause of the issue...gladiators wondering if the lion biting their neck is better than their leg. Minimize the collision and the equipment therein would minimize the trauma produced.

the unfortunate moron's answer is to limit tackling or zero the target to the torso and pay no nevermind to the weapon, because the equipment helps the administration give the perception that they are trying.

I've really grown to admire Brandon Marshall quite a bit since he's opening up about his struggles with mental illness. It's nice to see that he's really come around.

"Take a little boy and a little girl. A little boy falls down and the first thing we say as parents is ‘Get up, shake it off. You’ll be OK. Don’t cry.’ When a little girl falls down, what do we say? ‘It’s going to be OK.’ We validate their feelings. So right there from that moment, we’re teaching our men to mask their feelings, don't show their emotions. And it’s that times 100 with football players. You can’t show that you're hurt, you can’t show any pain. So for a guy to come into the locker room and he shows a little vulnerability, that’s a problem. That’s what I mean by the culture of the NFL. And that’s what we have to change."

Pretty clear that he has gone through some therapy and that it's taking. That line about validating their feelings seems to come straight from a therapist.

Do defenses just assume ray rice is the whole offense or is something wrong with him? Bizarre.

Josh McCown >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Jay Cutler

Cutler, the gutless puke, goes out of the game with 2 minutes left with an "ankle" injury. McCown comes in and marches the team down the field.

Joe Flacco: 18-34, 119 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT and a fumble. Are we still going with the canard that he's elite because he didn't suck for 4 games last January?

Why is cutler a gutless puke? He didn't pull himself out of the game. Coaches took him out.
