They're also pretty good at selling a lot of tickets.

Thats what I mean. The NFL should have let them get in to the playoffs.

Lovie Smith hiring Jeff Tedford as OC and Leslie Frazier as DC. Solid start to his coaching staff. Bill O'Brien bringing Romeo Crennel in as DC. Crap head coach, but his credentials as a DC are undeniable.

Vanderbilt HC James Franklin, who interviewed for Texans HC job two weeks ago, has gotten requests to interview with Redskins and Browns.

If the Bucs somehow get a QB, they're going to be a solid team next year.

Ususally the local TV affiliate buys them, and donates them figuring the cost after the tax write off is much less than the difference of ad revenue for the game instead of other programing.

Here in Indy, there were a few problems. First, the NFL sets prices for playoff games, not the local franchise. The NFL probably overshot this market. I know a handful of saeson ticket holders who declined playoff tickets because they were more than $100 higher in cost than the seats they'd already bought ten times (8 reg season + 2 pre-season).

Also, being that the Pacers, Indiana University, and Butler are all playing tonight, a lot of fans who had tickets to those events were taken out of the pool. This is still a basketball first state, and there are also some good high school matchups tonight. A Sunday game would have really helped ticket sales here.

The other factor is that our fan base is a bit spolied, having gone to the playoffs 13 of the last 15 years. While there is certainly some excitement, the novelty does start to wear off, much like with the Penguins.

I think they could be a solid team with just some improvement from Mike Glennon. He was decent this year and was easily the best rookie quarterback from this draft class. He has some potential.

Colts not off to a good start.

If memory serves, home teams on Wild Card week have not historically set the world on fire.

Colts within two touchdowns. Would not be surprised to see them collapse like a chair with Andy Reid sitting on it.

Martellus Bennett... Antonio Gates... Kellen Winslow Sr & Jr... Vernon Davis... Fred Davis... Jordan Reed... Shannon Sharpe...

Those are just the ones I could come up with off the top of my head.
