Looks like cap room won't be much of an issue. In 2015 the new money from the Thursday games package kicks in which will probably result in another $7M per team cap increase.

about 12 months ago, this would be a false statement.

but since then, tony gonzalez has gotten fired, jimmy graham decided he isnt a tight end after all, gronk keeps getting hurt, and aaron hernandez killed someone.

or roughed up a few people in the joint

The fairly significant legal portfolio of former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez could be growing by a case. Or two.

According to TMZ, Hernandez attacked another inmate in the Bristol County Jail on Tuesday. Per the report, Hernandez “beat the guy up pretty good.” (Rocky Balboa apparently was reporting from the scene.)

Hernandez normally remains apart from other inmates, ostensibly for his own protection. It was the other inmate who needed the protection.

TMZ explains that the other inmate had been jawing all day with Hernandez. And then, coincidentally, the same inmate who was jawing with Hernandez was in a hallway where Hernandez happened to be walking.

It’s funny how thing like that sometimes work out.

There's a lot in here including some awesome Lions mockery. But I'll draw your attention to this chart:

Top team in each conference would receive a bye and they'd have 6 first round games. Probably doing 2 saturday 3 sunday 1 monday.

? If I'm reading correctly seems 7 total teams from each conference make it. 1 team gets a bye. After the first round 3 teams plus the bye team left in each conference.

I just don't like the idea of byes, so I am a fan of limiting them.

Why? That seems like the primary motivation for this. To get a sunday night and a monday night game.

I kind of like them. I think it would be better without the digital alarm clock font and the comically large logo on the helmet.

I give them credit for trying something outside the usual bland, "traditional" style of most NFL jerseys, but the numbers, the gigantic helmet logo, and the logos on both shoulders and both hips kill it for me.
