I can accuse Ray Rice of knocking me out and dragging me out of an elevator, and it would only be slightly less credible than that first rape accusation.

Took the quiz.. I did 31 teams in the first 80 seconds.... Just could not think of the Texans :( . Sat there forever trying to think of teams in the southern states (focused on SE though sadly), and then trying to think of teams I remember Peyton playing. Had nothing... Brain fart

The quiz shoots the names into the list without hitting enter, so i put in about 20 names, looked up (because i type looking at keys) and there were about 18 teams jammed up in the entry bar because of one typo. Fail and quit.

Long term wise:

Will the NFL clean up its act or just fall into the abyss?
It's so trashy these days, but maybe that doesn't hurt their revenue.

The locker room write ups with Rex Ryan are hysterical.

Bummer. He got absolutely hosed by the Steelers and I wanted to see him get picked up somewhere.

Well he did get picked up, then he screwed up a second time and got cut. No one to blame but himself.

Yeah. No idea what he did this time. I was more lamenting the loss of the hope I had for him than his actual situation. Now that he got his second chance and couldn't handle it he can go sell insurance or whatever.

Wonder why throwing a football into the crowd is worse than handing it to a fan?

You could hit someone with it and knock them out. But if you hit a woman and then later marry her, the fine is reduced in half.

The Cowboys 2nd round pick DE Demarcus Lawrence apparently broke or fractured his right foot. Their defense is apparently cursed.

Tyron Smith completely overpowered him on the play that did it...which is no surprised because he's a beast going against a rookie.

ESPN suspends Stephen A. Smith over Ray Rice domestic abuse commentary
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutd ... 19386.html

Since this is the Internet, I imagine that someone will lob an "out of control, PC agenda" charge against ESPN.

Stephen A Smith is a bag of hot air that seldom has anything intelligent to say, so I'm not shocked by his comments. My only regret is that it's only a week suspension and not a forced removal of his vocal chords to spare the world from having to listen to him again.

Whoopi Goldberg had some interesting comments on the whole Ray Rice/Smith thing. Essentially she said that women are brought up in our society to think that they are allowed to do anything to men and should have no fear of repercussion. I do not know the full Rice story, but essentially Whoopi said that if she hit him first, she's just as responsible for the incident as he is. I think at one point she said, "How about instead of 'men shouldn't hit women,' let's just make it 'no one should hit anyone'."
