Didnt see this posted yet...

If you havent read "the tim tebow CFL chronicles", i highly recommend it. If you read jon bois on SB Nation regularly, youll slide right into it, knowing his writing style. Its absurd, beautiful, tragic, and absolutely glorious and epic. Its also 44,000 words.

The last several years of his career, he refused to officiate Washington games.

Mike Carey reveals he declined to referee Redskins games
Although Carey didn’t want to make a big public show of his opposition to the Washington team’s name, he did say that he didn’t feel right about being a part of games that featured a team whose name is a racial slur.

“Human beings take social stances,” he said. “And if you’re respectful of all human beings, you have to decide what you’re going to do and why you’re going to do it.”

Has anyone been watching Hard Knocks? It's not bad, per se, production value is still high but it's not terribly interesting. And Mike Smith might be the most limp wristed coach in the league. You watch them get thoroughly embarrassed in a preseason game, and his post-game is basically "Please don't do that again, it wasn't very good." I thought Marvin Lewis was soft.

Watching that lugnut Mike Tice coach up the o-line is funny, though. And the JJ Watt segments were pretty great, that guy is a machine.

So he got a DUI in 2011 so he's been in the substance abuse program since. But his attorney makes it sound like he had a beer at a house on vacation not during the season. And they wanted a full year suspension, they had to talk the league down to 4 games. But Ray Rice just gets 2 games.

The NFL is terrible.

Have any Bronco players violated the banned substance clause with the "legal" Colorado marijuana?

Bradford out for the season already. Ahead of schedule this time.

Also, Wes with another concussion. There's a part of me that wants him to retire and then the Bronco fan in me that wants him to come back.

The concussions are only going to start coming more frequently and with less impact required. Once you have your first one, the chance of getting another goes up dramatically. But once you've had three in 10 months (like Welker) you can pretty much concuss yourself hitting your head on a cabinet door.

Not sure they can make an even bigger helmet for him.

Amazes me how you spend all that money for a new stadium and can't get the grass right, or the sand under the grass etc. The Steelers have had to tear up Heinz Field numerous times since it opened. It's just silly. Oh well hopefully they get it right before week 2 when the 49ers have their first home game that counts.

.. and to be fair the solution they did for the game yesterday was only temporary they were planning on ripping it back out after the game. That being said... there should have never been an issue in the first place.

I just don't think he understands that a concussion isn't solely from a blow to the head. A severe blow to the chest can jar someone enough to cause a concussion. Welker should probably retire.

He should most definitely retire. He's one blow away from being put in the same room dark room that Chris Pronger and Marc Savard are stuck living in for eternity. His wife is hot, he's 33, he's made a ton of money. Settle down, have some kids, and call it a day before your brain turns to jell-o.
