Has anyone suggested pots and pans or maybe a vacuum cleaner?

^ Way too costly. A brush and a bucket should do:

Larry Bird? He's black. His real name is Abdul Mustafa.

Yes, I remembered that from the pilot episode.

(you realize this is probably what she really wants, right?)

Maybe my wife is different, but it's mothers day, she likes to be with the kids all day. Take care of breakfast and write a nice letter of how wonderful she is and stand clear. Good day

Definitely the way my wife is. She doesn't want time away from our daughter -- she wants to spend the day together as a family.

The letter sounds great...and maybe I'll get her something she really wants for around the house.

My wife is the same way as well. Letter is good. Should do something else as well. Gift certificate to a spa or nail place works. Make her an appointment for the following weekend so it's all set and she doesn't have to worry about logistics.

Ask her what she wants now and don't mention it again. Then she will be surprised and satisfied with the gift you got her. You call also buy one of those cards that records messages and have your kid record something for her even if its just baby noises. Then take her to the zoo.
