Bacon- Overrated?

Postby IanMoran on Sat May 04, 2013 2:23 pm

I love me some bacon occasionally, but I don't understand the fascination people have with bacon... Its just another decent food to me

Every once in a while I'll crave really good bacon. But rarely. Other than that, I don't eat it nor do I miss eating it.

Edit: And I do laugh at foodies who have "rediscovered" bacon. STFU.

Bacon by itself is not worthy of its praise. But, its versatility to be combined with many other flavors is quite fantastic.

Also, crispy bacon sucks.

I'm more of a bacon purist: I love it with scrambled egge or an omelette, but don't go in for it in other cases.
If you're wrapping something else in bacon, that probably means you didn't pay enough for the something else to be good on its own.

No, there are a lot of cheese lovers that do this. I've also heard someone do this **** for bread. IT IS BREAD. EAT IT.

Me too. If it's soft or slimy, I may as well put a finger in my throat and throw up, as that is what if I will do the moment I put such bacon in my mouth anyway.

He wasn't bad in "A Few Good Men" or "The River Wild", but yeah, in "Tremors" he was just terrible :pop:

I used to feel that way about bread but then I went to this place and I've never been the same since:

Yeah, really.

I'd run into a burning building to save bacon. And the great part about that is when I get outside, the bacon will be cooked and ready for me to eat amid all the TV interviews and crying grandmas.

Win-win.

Awesome. Reminds me of reading miles davis' autobiography. Let's just say a particular night involved miles, fried chicken, a lady of the night and a limo.
