I'll admit to watching 5 min of Slap Shot 2, and that's 5 min I won't get back.

I didn't waste any more time watching Slap Shot 3.

Lots of things, but mostly the part where a bunch of scientists travel to a distant star system to discover the secret of life in the universe and than find more than they bargained for.

So I guess that's pretty much the whole movie. (I loved the opening sequence, and thought the severed Engineer head thing was cool. And the design of the film is superb. Other than that; craptastic.)

WHY DOES ANYONE DO ANYTHING IN THIS MOVIE?!?!?!?! :face:

Unquestionably the best and most thorough destruction of the film.

I laughed a lot at the beginning of The Player when Buck Henry is pitching a sequel to The Graduate to Tim Robbins' character: Mrs. Robinson gets a divorce and moves in with Ben and Elaine.

"Yeah," says Tim Robbins. "Sort of like The Post-Graduate."

I laughed and laughed at that.

That makes my soul hurt. I thought House was amazing while House II was a z grade kids flick. I haven't watched it in about 15 years though so maybe I need to revisit it.

Wasn't that direct to video, or something like that?

I'm an unabashed fan of the first movie; it's a brilliant satire. Honestly can't say if Verhooven set out to make a satire on purpose...... but it's still a hoot nonetheless.

Knowing that this director made both RoboCop and Showgirls, I'd say it's no better than an even money bet.
