No... I'd actually say the opposite, that most Yinzers embrace their inner Yinzer

Tom Tucker is definitely still sold. besides Cherikee Red, it's really the only pop you need to have in your life.

I use things that aren't there any more as landmarks when giving directions.

I've experienced a Frankie Capri show.

I was as well when I was younger, left for years to live in bigger cities, and moved back and embraced the yinzerism that I had to leave to miss.

Troy Loney was waiting for ktk to call him out on this. I've taken things like "pop" out of my vocabulary and I make sure to never neglect the "to be" verb. I have some unfounded sport opinions and an irreversible distaste for Ben Roethlisberger...but I don't think those are yinzer based.

Yinz is one thing I have never gotten. I tend to be a Yinzer (used to be really bad during Steelers games, but I've found myself becoming more detached in recent years), but I've never even been inclined to use "Yinz" in conversation. It sounds awkward to me.

Actually, I always say things like "that car needs washed", leaving out the "to be". Pretty sure that is a western PA/yinzer thing.

a great perscription to help break yinzer tendincies is to date someone who lives in a different pittsburgh fifedom. kenny the kangaroos current girlfriend is from the mon valley and the last one lived in mt lebo. becoming will versed in multiple pittsburgh regions is an invaluable resource to diminishing the yinzer tendency to never travel beyond 40 minutes from your home location.

Yes and yes... I don't ever say Yinz either, but the lazy english of dropping "to be" is a big fault of mine as well.

Most people tell me that I've dropped most of my Pittsburgh accent but I hear it myself when I listen to my out going VM message "If you need immediate help please call 1-8 hunnerd ...." :face:

I drink IC Light on wing nights (there goes my street cred in the beer thread)

I also own multiple terrible towels. At one point, I was trying to collect each individual towel: different fonts, formats, events, etc. Once they started making them for every event possible, I stopped.

Not only did I belong to a social club, but I bartended in one. There might have been a few game days where I had more beers than some of the people on the other side of the bar.
