Good thing you passed on that one trade that would have made your RBs a complete strength for your team.

You mean the one where the guy is going to be out for a month?

I'd say if you have McCoy you have to have brown.

Also, Vereen's value has dropped precipitously since the injury. It's not worth giving up my best receiver for. If he offered me Vereen for, say, Reuben Randle (NYG's 3rd WR, 100+ yards receiving in the game), I'd do it. But not for my highest scoring WR.

Eddie Lacy more than makes up for the drop in Vereen's value. Besides, he'll be back in 3-4 weeks.

Oh, I must have been mistaken that you were giving up one receiver and getting two backs. If it was one for one than of course you keep the better player.

Well, technically it still was a one for one, since Vereen is out for a month.

So, it was Vereen AND Lacy for Welker?

well technically it was one for one + one of 2 RBs that rushed for over 100 yards in week one and will likely get 6-10 receptions and 40-60 receiving yards each week that will be back merely in 4 weeks. think big picture

I am thinking big picture. I'm thinking that the guy I'd really be getting the value for (Vereen) won't be able to help my team for the next 4 weeks anyway, so I can get better elsewhere.

I'd like to see MRandall's roster, but yeah ... I still would have made that trade even knowing now that Vereen is out for 4 weeks.

Keep in mind that Bell had decent recieving numbers in addition to his goalline TDs. He will be used in the passing game, so he's a little more than a goalline back.

Bush is gonna get most of the yards from dumpoffs and screens though in the Lion's offense. I mean if you are using Bell as your flex I can see, but having him as one of your two starters seems to be a bit of a stretch.

Again, either him or Ben Tate.

And I don't care about Vereen. I'm not giving up my highest scoring wideout for a guy who can't contribute to my lineup.

what is the differential between your WR2 and any subsequent changes by removing welker and adding vereen and lacy. if WR is your deepest position you can handle losing a few points per game on the difference between WR1 and WR2 by adding vereen/lacy and taking tate/whatever out

If you own Bush, you should own Bell as well in any league.
