We talked about this last week. I like the potential keeper value of all my bench guys too much to be ready to drop them just yet if I can help it. I was the highest scorer in week 1 without those positions. :pop:

the only time I won't play a Def or K is in these two scenarios:

1. My one league has a moves limit of 16 pick-ups per the whole year. So if it's a sure loss or a sure win (but really those don't exist) I'll just not start one or the other
2. I don't have anyone that I'd want to drop AND it's a sure loss or sure win (again, these don't exist)

Krafter's entire roster is keeper worthy. If you didn't know, he'll tell you. :pop:

He needs to keep that idea floating out there so he can trade 3 people for one good player later for the playoff run.

Kickers are basically free points. Phil Dawson got me 10 last week, and I don't think there was a kicker (who was owned and played) below 5 (obviously not looking at the stats right now).

So unfortunately at some point I put Vereen into my starting lineup and completely forgot about doing that. Looks like I gave Beerman a handicap this week.

Is it just me, or are there like 5 good fantasy RBs in the entire league?

Seriously, I can't find a waiver wire RB that will put up more than 2pts a week.

That's why people usually choose RB's so early in the draft, after the first tier.. it drops off pretty quick, while you can pick good players at other positions late in drafts.

I took two mediocre RBs(or RBs on mediocre teams) in the middle of the draft and I'm getting what I paid for.

I also took a flyer on Redman, because i thought hey, they cut Dwyer, refuse to play Jones, and Bell is injured. Those .6 fantasy points really helped out last week...

Benched him, so I can't wait to see him break for 3 tds.

Does anybody know offhand why H. Nicks is projected to have so few points this week? He doesn't seem like he is hurt or anything.

Very few teams are capable of running the ball. The power running game isn't feasible nowadays with defensive lineman so big and overpowering. If you choose a power back to confront that, the linebackers are bigger and just as fast. Unless a team has an elite offensive line like the 49ers, you just cant matchup in the run game. I think the Eagles are sort of attacking defenses in a new way with speed. It worked once, I hope it works more. There are so few quarterbacks that are bearable to watch throwing the ball 50 times a game. Pass happy offenses that can't compelte 50% of their passes are unwatchable.

I guess I just think most NFL games are unwatchable. Almost everyone is passy happy, and most teams don't have a QB capable of winning that way.

I like the Lacy side. MOre because I think Ridley is worthless than because I think Lacy is a good #2.

I'd go Lacy, definitely. Probably would take D. Richardson, if only because Tate's performance will be directly related to how Arian Foster plays (it's supposed to be 70-30 Foster, but Kubiak has said he wanted to get Tate more carries last week, and that they should be about even in # of carries due to Foster's lackluster performance).

FWIW, Atlanta (in 1 week, mind you) gave up the 8th most fantasy points to RBs, and they were playing the Saints (whose running game is terrible).

Ridley. I don't think there's a question. Don't let a couple bad weeks fool you. He was benched week 1 because of fumbles and the Pats O-line imposed its will. The Jets have an underrated front 7. The Pats O-line is damn good and they have zero healthy good receivers. Ridley will most likely finish as a top 5-7 back and is a lock for double digit TDs. Don't be fooled by these first 2 weeks.

Don't pay any attention to projected stats. They are wrong most of the time.

I would also go Miles Austin over Shorts.
