No way does Hank die here. I bet the Nazis take him as an incentive to make sure Walt comes back to cook.

Hank and Gomie surviving this gun fight when you look at the numbers/arsenal advantage for the Nazis would strain credulity.

What had me scratching my head a bit about this gunfight was how there were about a million bullets fired from mid-range and nobody seemed to be hurt. Probably just for dramatic effect.

Hank and Gomie are definitely dead. They closed the Hank storyline out perfectly. He out-smarted Walt, he got to cuff him, and read him his miranda rights. Finally, he got to tell Marie that he loved her. That was the nail in the coffin for Hank.

I am guessing that Jesse gets away, and Walt refuses to cook for Uncle Jack and company because they didn't kill Jesse (which was the original agreement) and they killed his brother in law when he told them not to show up in the desert. Uncle Jack probably takes out the rest of Walt's family, which causes Walt to go on the run to New Hampshire. Walt shows back up in ABQ with the big gun to go after Uncle Jack and probably have some sort of closure with Jesse (not sure what yet).

I think that Jesse gets away for now because there is no way that the final scene between the 2 is Walt calling him a coward and Jesse spiting in his face.

there's better collateral waiting for them at the carwash. hank's call to marie was the nail in the coffin. this is like the end of season 3 where people thought it was a cliff hanger with jesse and gale, but gilligan came out and said that it wasn't intended to be that way, and he gave enough evidence for everyone to figure out what happened.

yeah, it was very obvious with Gale (mind you, I had the luxury of watching those first 4 seasons on netflix, so I had no week long wait for the next episode to think about things) and I think it's pretty obvious here as well. Hank and Gomez are done.

i already forget the specifics, but i think the last few shots from last night showed the nazis just unloading on them at an unreal pace. i think that was very intentional.

I'm pretty sure Hank and Gomez are dead. Jesse will either get away or be taken hostage by the Nazis to get Walt to cook.

Another thing that foreshadows Hank's death...during the phone call with Marie, he said "it may be a while before I come home."

Now I'm beginning to wonder if Walt's crimes ever become public knowledge. The operation Hank and Gomie were running was contained to within themselves and Marie. She can go scream it from the mountain top but she doesn't have any proof.

I feel as though it's pretty obvious it becomes public knowledge after the flash forward of Walt at his house. Although, his neighbor may have reacted like that because she thought he was dead...

if he was part of some ongoing investigation, there wouldn't have been kids skating in his pool. and spray painting heisenberg on his wall doesn't mean anything to the authorities without context. i also don't think he'd come back home in broad daylight if the fuzz were out to get him. i doubt the DEA will know anything about him after hank bites it. the public probably just knows that he disappeared and the rest would just be rumors.

Totally agree; Hank got his man, dies a hero, and no one is left to know where the money is except Walt and Jesse.

Jack is a mercenary, and is only after one thing... money. I think Walt and Jesse are going to scatter, Jack ends up catching Jesse and forces him to cook....

I chalk that up to him going on the run from Meth Damon, Uncle Jack and the rest of their merry band of hate. They take out Walt's family to try to leverage him to cook. Lydia's people might get involved as well. Walt goes on the run. Might even be a suspect in the murder of his family. His house becomes condemned. His pool becomes a skate park. "Heisenberg" is spray painted on the wall by one of the aforementioned groups. Walter While, meth maker extraordinaire, never becomes public knowledge. He becomes a myth, a spook story that criminals tell their kids at night. "Rat on your pop and Heisenberg will get you."

I would be absolutely stunned if Gilligan kills Skylar, Walt Jr., or whatever the baby's name is (and especially the baby). It would be the ballsiest decision in TV history that I can recall off the top of my head. I can't think of anything that's happened in another drama that featured that type of ending to innocents like his kids. Even Skylar, whose hands are dirty at this point, would be stunning to me.

Also, while I can't see how Hank/Gomie don't wind up dead, I have this nagging feeling that its too obvious, particularly given where they end the ep.

I agree with those that think Jesse survives.

Jesse definitely survives this shootout. I'm still about 50/50 on whether he survives the series.

The Shield
Spoiler:
Shane Vendrell poisons his son, pregnant wife, and then shoots himself in the head.

As far as BB goes, Walt's original intent (though he has strayed to a degree) was to make money for his family. His family dying as a result of his actions would be fitting in my opinion.

I thought that was going to be the main character of the show too. Looks like he was in a supporting role.

Spoiler:
Yes. He poisoned the water they were drinking and afterwards made their death look peaceful. Shot himself when he was interrupted writing his suicide note.

And while he wasn't the "main character", he was pretty much second to Michael Chiklis' character and was about as important as a supporting character can be throughout the show's run.

I like the theory that Marie outs them all when she finds out Hank is dead. She WANTS to tell... probably the point of the scene in her shrinks office.
