Pitt hoops, since neither VT or W&M care all that much about competent basketball. VT forgot how to beat Pitt in football once Mike Vick left.

welp, after the bye week, and the pirate loss, the pitt super panthers are back in action in blacksburg, and yours truly will be attending the game. so the annual implosion of the pitt panthers can officially begin.

Have fun down there, I heard it's awesome. I'm heading to GT this year.

Pitt will beat VT and will begin their implosion against ODU next week.

Yes, but it's VT. You'll win without trying.

I don't think Pitt has 20 yards of offense this quarter.

Nice of the VT offense to not put Pitt away. Will come back to bite them because it's Pitt and that's what happens.

Should have had 7 on that drive before the half. The D at least woke up, hopefully the O-line can give Savage some time in the 2nd half.

Pitt's offense isn't scoring 16 points in a quarter against this defense.

Nice of the former Pitt QB to try to claim a shoulder-to-shoulder hit was a leaping helmet-to-helmet hit. No dice.

Welp. Pitt is close but not there yet. D impressed me. Line needs to improve, but there wasn't much help in the way of play calling. Needed more slants, quick hitters, screens. It was painfully obvious nothing good was coming of the 5 step drops.

Also sometime in the third quarter I realized Tino would have been 12-15 for 140 yards, perhaps 12 sacks, and we'd be down 41-10

its obvious that the offense as designed is going to have to change. the first 5 games or so, sending pretty much 2 or 3 guys out on deep routes worked. its no longer working becuase the protection isnt there, and these guys are not always going to get open. who knows why they dont try shorter passess. it could be because savage is stubborn, it could be savage is not competent enough to do it, it could be that the coaches think that this is the offense best suited for him. but at the end of the day, this offense has been moribound the past two games. kenny the kangaroo will be discouraged if they dont work more short passes, more throws the to the TE, etc etc during the ODU game and the Navy game.

So does this mean we won't have to worry about Slappy getting excited about Pitt being unbeaten in conference play and whether that's something he should be happy about?
