My personal opinion is that you have to control the things you can control and accept that if you don't, you put your destiny in the hands of fate.

How can you be disappointed?

Because I'm disappointed in the entire season (including the events you mention), not just how a single Chiefs-Chargers game played out.
Didn't my second sentence make that clear?

Maybe I don't get the disappointment. The end of the season was great. Going 6-2 after a horrible start. I think Steeler Nation should thank Ian Rappaport for Ben's resurgence. There is a bunch of positives from a crappy negative season.

Seriously?

I'm disspointed they didnt make the playoffs. I hope they make it every year, so if they don't, I'm dissapointed.

That has been discussed by fans and a few writers (amateur bloggers I think) Seemd like a great idea to me; Velasco was solid, Pouncy would be great pulling and they could get the cap space for Velasco by getting rid of Foster

With this team and how the 2012 season went down. I thought they were going 4-12.

I still don't thank that a "positive" 8-8 should be looked at any differently than a "negative" 8-8. They're a mediocre team that needs help on the defensive side of the ball.

Finishing 6-2 provides encouragement. But the schedule was so easy.

So if it wasn't for this call, the Chargers would have gone into week 17 with a record of 9-6 and the Steelers would have already been eliminated. But nope the NFL obviously paid the refs to keep the Steelers out (sort of like how the Steelers paid the refs to give them Super Bowl XL).

That blown call occurred early in the 4th quarter. The Chargers were bound and determined to blow a 21 point lead that game.

lol

This non-call is nothing, it probably happens on more then half of field goals and is rarely, if ever called. For example:

That happened on a made field goal in Week 1. Presumably by the end of the year the refs would be told to enforce the rule. And it's obviously not nothing since the NFL admitted they blew the call.

So it's okay when the Steelers get away with it, but not okay when someone else gets away with it and it hurts the Steelers? Point taken.

The refs also incorrectly ruled on the fake punt conversion that appeared to have been a game winning fumble returned for a TD by KC. Mike Pereira, the former VP of officiating for the NFL, has said the same.

lol cry more about imagined arguments that only morons would actually make. Congrats, certain segments of the Steelers fan base are unhinged and say crazy things. Show me who in this thread thinks this is a grand conspiracy to keep the Steelers out of the playoffs. Keep arguing with no one.

I think the large majority of people I've heard have been pretty level-headed all things considered. Sure, there are going to be some loonies that cry conspiracy and what not, but show me a single fan base that doesn't have that segment.

It's frustrating to me, but ultimately, the team wasn't good enough to make the playoffs on their own and were unlikely to do much more than extend their season by a week, so whatever.

Don't fully understand the reasoning behind this move. I thought the line played much better down the stretch.

Exactly. Its completely unacceptable for the OL Coach to outperform the Head coach and OC. Coaching 101.

Ben played all 16 games for only the second time in his career, behind a patchwork of guys who really came together and punched above their weight.

This is the first move Tomlin has made that has me scratching my head from the outset.

Not a Steelers fan at all, but this move is baffling. The offensive line vastly improved as the season went on, and with what they were working with, I thought they did a great job.
