Pens fan in SEATTLE?

Postby Azkar on Fri Sep 06, 2013 8:02 am

So, I'm moving to Seattle in a few weeks to work for Amazon.

Does anyone live in Seattle currently?
Is there a place I can watch pens games (or hockey in general? in before Vancouver)? I've already found a Steeler fan group on meetup, but Hockey doesn't seem to be big up there.
What are the odds of the Coyotes moving to Seattle?

Do I have to change my name to "pfis"?

Doesn't Kaizer live in Seattle?
The Coyotes aren't moving there, but Seattle is probably next up for expansion.
Get T-Birds season tickets.

Just curios Azkar. Is this how your journey to Amazon began:

"We will be coming to Pittsburgh, PA to conduct interviews Aug 14-16." Send via a recruiter on Linkedin

I shall check out the 98,000 square foot REI in seattle to do just that, after I climb the 65 foot rock wall of course.

Congrats on the job!

My friend John is a Pens fan, lives just outside Seattle. But, he's in his 40s and married with kids. Not a spry youngster like you. LOL

EDIT: And he goes to T-Bird games, and is a Seahawks STH.

If I moved to seattle, i'm pretty sure I'd be instantly converted to an MLS fan.

Glad that it worked out for you, so are you in software?

I would have tried if my life was a little different. Just moved home from Baltimore and the wife would never live that far away from her family so I'm stuck here.

Yeah, I'm in software now. It was actually really great timing for me. I had been going through a "Well, I don't know if I want to live here for the rest of my life" phase and feeling very restless, so I figured why not eh? I'm still young and have nothing holding me back, so I might as well do it now... That and an offer to work at a company like Amazon is an incredible opportunity.

Columbia: I'm real excited about the sea food!

I'm not a starbucks fan anyway. EMP looks pretty cool, but I'm not sure what hom bao is lol.

One of my friends on facebook:
It's safe to say that in the 48 short hours we spent in Seattle that this is my new favorite place.

So, I have high hopes for this place.
