We actually came home via the 210/134/101 route. The 210 east was totally jacked; I think a meteorite hit San Dimas or something.

I'm more interested in McQueen's car from Bullitt.

My son took me to Summit Point a couple weeks ago for WDCRA Rally Cross. Great time. We were driving the 2000 Subaru RS I gave him a couple years ago. He's slowly evolving the car into a dedicated rally car, with plans to drive in stage rally events.

This was one of my less horrible runs.

Ars goes behind the scenes with the Caterham F1 racing team: Blood, sweat, oil, tears, SSDs, VMware—it all meshes together trackside.

And keep in mind that Caterham are the Jax Jags of F1. Only one race left to go in 2013 (out of 20) and they have yet to score a single championship point. (Along with Marussia) Points are awarded down to 10th place.

There were only 19 races this year (no European Grand Prix this year since Valencia moved to a rotation with Catalunya for the Spanish GP like Nurburgring and Hockenheim).

Guess it doesn't help Caterham that 1, the car is bad, and 2, their best driver (Pic) isn't very good.

How much does something like this cost?

Also - are there any height or weight restrictions on the driver? (6' 2.5'' /~240).

My wife got it on special for $160, but the regular price for the 20-lap adventure (with the extra bells and whistles I had) is over $600. To be honest, it's not worth $600..... but I'd do it every other weekend if I could get that reduced rate! SO MUCH FUN!

They do have height and weight restrictions; I think 6'5" and 250 lbs. Not sure about minimums, but I do know they allow minors to partake if they have a valid drivers license and parental approval. Full disclosure, I'm 6', 200 lbs and it was a pretty tight fit... and you aren't even in a proper seat, just a foam stadium cushion on the floor of the car. So you move around (a lot) and your mid legs take a beating (bruises and soreness didn't go away for over a week) from the bulkhead and gear change lever.
