This guy deserves his own RIP thread. Don't bother because In don't give a rat's rump about the generic RIP thread.

I know people think it's Steeler itus when fans gripe about a certain Steeler not making the hall, but Greenwood absolutely should have been in long ago. He was as good as any DE for 8 or so seasons and was the best DE in the league for 4 or 5 years and not just because of sacks. He played when the NFL was a running league and totally dominated against the run. He was basically unblockable. Teams didn't try the Steelers left defensive side because they'd sometimes just stand up blockers but he or Ham often would totally blow up running plays.

I posted his passing yesterday in the RIP thread, but no comments. Is it possible most of these young posters don't appreciate how good he was?

RIP LC. Too young to remember his playing days, but know he was one of the best. I was shocked when I saw he passed over the weekend.

My Dad told me stories of the Steelers great teams, i was a bit young to appericiate them. But he always mentioned LC as one of the greats.

He was a share holder of the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy my wife went there long ago and met him several times she said he was very nice and the teachers would have the students give him free facials to practice on him.
