That depends on which side. It is being gentrified but it's still not one of the nicest areas in DC. Everything in NW is pretty good - great. Everything in SE is pretty bad - don't ever go there.

CNN is reporting she had a child in the car with her. :face:

EDIT: CNN is reporting the woman is wounded, not dead. So that's still a question mark.

Yea, thats true. E Street is now pretty nice and seems to be improving monthly

The car was black and therefore certain to be classified as an "assault weapon-vehicle". Expect another round of anti-gun hysteria with no mention that the only ones shooting were the police, at a mother and child... probably because she tried to get into a "Closed" national monument.

I did some plumbing work down there and a lot of the once empty crack houses are now owned and occupied by white collar workers. A lot of DC is on the up and up.
