voltron does not hold up well. every episode is pretty much exactly the same, and they re-use animations repeatedly in the same episodes.

Jem is pretty great, actually. The Misfits straight up try to murder Jem at least once an episode with no repercussions.

in no particular order, my top 10 would be...

-GI Joe
-Transformers
-Centurions
-Inhumanoids (this was so bad-ass. wish it had more episodes)
-Duck Tales
-Bravestarr (because it was insane)
-C.O.P.S.
-TMNT
-Thundercats
-He Man

i skewed more to the blatant toy commercial type cartoons, obviously

Does anyone remember a cartoon from the 80s that had 3 giant beasts living in hell or something. I just remember one being like a fire god type, another being ice, can't remember the 3rd. But the good guys were a group of people that tried to stop them from escaping and destroying earth or whatever planet they were on.

I don't remember seeing it much, and I don't think it lasted long, but I remember my neighbor had one of the toys. It's been bugging me for 25 years.

I hear ya. Born in 87 so a lot of the shows listed I have seen, but I watched more 90's TV. On a side note this got me thinking of one show I liked. The King Arthur animated series where a football team gets sucked into the world of Camelot and has to free the real King Arthur. I really liked that show as a kid wonder what happened to it.

King Arthur and the Knights of Justice. Not for me haha.

That's it. I remember the dude with the ribcage too.

That's one of those things where I would wonder about it, but was too lazy to try to research. Thanks!

I loved that show, I just remember it wasn't around long, and my neighbor had the main bad guy.

80's/90's toys and cartoons is one of the few areas in this world where i can confidently claim to know my poop. if there was money to be made in this, i would be a wealthy man.

1. Thundercats
2. TMNT
3. GI Joe
4. Transformers
5. Silverhawks
6. Voltron
7. Ducktales
8. Muppet Babies
9. Heathcliff
10. Ghostbusters

I always considered Pee Wee's playhouse similar to a cartoon, mostly because I think my Dad would get high and watch it with me when I was a kid.

Both quality toys, but below average cartoons. Visionaries is actually hilariously lame. I've watched it recently

The first Simpsons episode was Christmas themed and aired in late December 1989. The second aired in January of 90.

The early rough shorts on Tracy Ullman were a few years prior to that.

This show was awesome. For some reason it was only on, on Sundays and I believe barely had a 2nd season. Very disappointing.
