They should have marked the whole US. I'll believe the snow storm when it is actually happening.

Blizzard of '93 was awesome. Except the school year went into middle of June due to the snow days.

What temp do yunz keep your thermostats at? We keep ours at 66 which isn't where my wife thinks it should be set.

70 when I'm home, 65 when I'm not (for the dog)....otherwise, I'd keep it at 60.

We keep it around 70-72, mainly because of the kids.

Prior to kids, we kept it around 65-68.

And prior to me being married, I kept it around 55-60. I like the cold.

I can understand with young kids. We babysit a 3 year old granddaughter every other weekend. We turn it up to 69-70 when she's here.
I grew up in the coal furnace days. That was really different because my grandpa didn't believe in spending a lot of money on coal.

We have a 4-month old, and we typically keep the thermostat right around 66 degrees. We have the benefit of a ton of south-facing windows, so the home stays pretty warm on sunny days, even when it's cold. Even at night, her room doesn't go below 66 or 67 degrees generally, and I usually turn the thermostat down to like 62 or 63.

Although I will say, she definitely likes it cooler than most other babies. We ran out of propane last month, and she still slept through the night despite it being 58 degrees in her room most of the night

We keep ours a little higher than 70 both because of the youngsters, and I really don't want my pipes to freeze.

my bedroom (old finished probably not properly attic) stays at 59-61 in the winter for sleep. Rest of the house is 68-70.

67 at night and during the day because we have dogs or I'd do colder.

68-70 when we're home.

I'm assuming a small dog? I can't fathom keeping the house warm for our goldendoodle. She loves to go down into the unfinished section of the basement (furnace area), and just lay on the cement slab floor.
