This is pretty sweet (in a nature-appreciation sort of way). Multi-vortex tornado in South Dakota. Around the mid-way point of the video, you can see about 5 or more mini-vortices on the ground while the main funnel is still coming down.
Really persistent electrical storm happening here (NC). I'd reckon about 70-90 flashes a minute, not many ground strikes though. I could probably finish a newspaper article in a few minutes using the light generated from it.
Pop up torrential rain/thunderstorm. Left my windows open this morning. You win this round, Weather.
Bonus, if the power goes out, I'm out of here. Though I think we've already switched over to generators.
lol, just checked the Wundermap. This storm is only about 4 miles wide but is just dumping water and some pretty impressive lightning strikes. It's a tiny red splotch on an otherwise clear day. Probably some pretty pissed off aviators out there today, the storm isn't much wider than the base.
Just had one of the worst windstorms I've ever seen. Not a ton of rain, very little lightning, but wind that was probably gusting to hurricane force. Limbs down everywhere, including one off our tree that landed in the street. Blew through here with fury about 30 minutes ago, and now the sun is out and we have a rainbow.

I'm with you 100%. This is just awesome.
I hate this, I love in in April and October. It's July, I want heat, humidity and air conditioning. When I go outside to work out, I want to be sweating even before I get on my bike. Heat makes working out outside so much better
