This has actually been happening to various degrees for a few years. Look at the ads for the Samsung 6000 series LED tvs - I bet those are all the black friday price by the 24th if not sooner per that link.

The 5300 models look like the black friday special editions and will probably only be dragged out onto the floor a week later.

I'm gonna try buying the Surface from Best Buy online. If I get one cool, if not oh well.

I'll stop at the Target up the block when I come home from my sisters. They have COD Ghosts with a free $10 gift card.

Is the 5300 series worthy of being a bedroom TV? Just need a 40-42" set for the bedroom and looking for a decent deal.

$199 and I think its the 32GB. Staples has it for $250 with a black cover.

Yea I'd say so. It will be as bright as a high beam, so you will most likely want to tone it down a bit. That will help with flashlighting too.

Covers are about $80 so seems like Staples is the better deal on the Surface, no?

I'm looking at getting my daughter the Staples HP Chromebook for $179.

Only if you're a normal adult and are ok with a black one.

Not if the sole reason for buying the surface is because the recipient wants "the tablet that looks like a Zune with the blue keyboard cover."

I can't figure out why they need to put such a monster processor in the Pro. I'd personally be very interested in one with the power of their current Pentium models, which would shave at least 100-150 off the price.

This is for someone replacing n270 Atom netbook with a bad battery. She loves her Zune, has a Windows Phone, and uses a desktop computer. Kind of like a soulmate of sorts for me.

Negative. A blue one must be purchased separately

Probably involves some poor shlub stuck in a warehouse on Thursday night filling your order.

Steelworker gets double time on the holidays and I'm sure operating room nurses are compensated well for their holiday time as well.

and im sure if your wife wasnt a manager and was working over time, she would get extra OT as it is the law...

It's not a law that you need holiday pay?

Am I entitled to Holiday Pay?

Not by law. It depends on your employer's policy regarding the payment of holiday pay. Example: If your employer has a policy to pay holidays and you are required to work on a holiday, you would receive straight time for the hours you worked and then payment according to the employer's policy for the holiday. You could receive straight time for eight hours of work and straight time for eight hours of holiday pay. You are not entitled to overtime pay just because you work a holiday.

lolol no way that's a law. No one is entitled to anything in that respect. Maybe in California, which has the most ridiculous labor laws in the country in terms of OT/double pay etc.
