Just snuck a look at Pitts record and didn't realize that they were 13-1. :thunmb:

Then I looked and it said that ya'll are 3rd in the ACC... tough conference when 13-1 only gets you third place.

I'm also proud to see that Syracuse and Pitt hold two of the top three positions in the ACC. I know it's way to early to be pointing it out, but it would be nice to see former Big East members come in and take two of the three top slots oin the ACC.

They only played one game too vs Miami. They are 1-0. UMD is 2-0. It's WAY too early to tell.

Pitt looks really good. If Johnson and Patterson can keep it up they will be a load for any team. They're missing a big man, wish Adams could have stayed one more year.

My first Pitt game of the season. We look more athletic on the wing than we have in years. Patterson is even more impressive in person, what a player.

Pitt struggled on the boards in the first half which kept Maryland in the game. Once the wings started helping Zanna on the boards, Maryland couldn't keep up. Very solid win, great offensive performance.

Mid-game, so I apologize for the timing, but Bob Huggins said he's been trying hard to have Pitt / WVU play each other 1-1 , but Pitt's not interested.

GOTTA PAD THAT HOME PETERSON RECORD

Whats a shame is that for the past "X" number of years, Pitt has been the better team.

I guess Pitt think playing WVU is a no win situation in BB and not worth honoring the history.

Now geeze, where have I heard that argument before? :pop:

Read an article that Pitt was slated to play WVU at the Garden in the Coaches vs Cancer game but Huggy bailed because his team was too young so pitt filled the slot with Cinci. I'll find the article.

"But, at least according to the Pitt..."

Now that's accurately reporting the facts. (not)

(Since when is it proper reporting to use false equivalency in reporting a story?)

The article is horribly lacking in facts, Pitt does not schedule opponents in the Coaches vs. Cancer event at MSG.

http://cvcclassic.com/

So it's another Filliponi idiotic comment to suggest that they do. Besides, WVU ended up playing Wisconsin that weekend in the Triple Crown Challenge in Cancun.

Wisconsin, if you haven't been following, is 16-0 and ranked 4th in he nation. Where is Pitt ranked?

But you keep blindly following what you've been told about how superior you are over the school 90 miles to your south.

So although pitt didn't "schedule" it the point still stands. WVU backed out of playing pitt. Yes, Wisconsin is better than Pitt this year, no arguing there. For the record Pitt is indeed ranked higher than WVU.

So Huggins backed out of playing an unranked team (because he was afraid of them) so he could play Wisconsin?

You do realize that makes NO sense right?
The fact is that he wanted to have his team face better competition.

btw... how many times do I have to say that Pitt is, and has been, a better BB team than WVU before you quit trying to use it as a jab... that point was conceded a long time ago.

Just so I have this straight, they should play ever year, unless WVU can play someone better.

I hope you know I wish they would play annually as well.

Nice way to try and weasel out of your assertion that Huggins was afraid of Pitt.

Next thing you'll be saying that it wasn't you making that point, it was Filliponi, you were just passing it along as a public service.
