Do you keep a clean vehicle?

Postby SolidSnake on Wed Nov 20, 2013 3:52 pm

My fiancé gets mad at me because I try to at least once a month, sweep out and wash my car. Having a clean vehicle is important to me, she thinks that I spend too much time worrying about it. Nothing bugs me more then getting into one of my friend's vehicles only to be sitting amongst wrappers and pop bottles. I think it's gross. My car is black and has a black interior so that is another reason why I keep a clean vehicle. Especially once it gets really cold it will be even more difficult to keep the car clean inside and out.

Anyone else as bad as me about this?

I wash it once every two weeks or so and try to clean the interior well once every six or so

My wife and I have one car between the two of us. She's way worse than I am with just leaving stuff in the car like bottles and garbage, but with that said, neither one of us is all that uptight about it.

When I have trouble seeing the road through the garbage then I can let it go another week, but no longer.

I don't wash my car regularly, except during the winter to prevent salt corrosion. That being said, keeping a clean car is almost a necessity now between the car seat and the dog needing room.

I am the only person in my car 90% of the time. It usually piles up but I make a habit to empty it out at the gas station.

I bought a Pontiac Fiero GT my junior year of college and I washed it every Friday night or Saturday.

I almost never drive anymore, but from March-October I wash mine every weekend that I go somewhere

Could care less about the outside. The inside, it bothers me when it gets dusty, but not really enough to do anything about it.

I like to keep mine clean, but I don't wash it all the time. I'm more concerned about the inside honestly.

Now, my wife, half of her shoes are in her car along with a bunch of other junk. It drives me crazy.

I used to be pretty persistent about keeping my car clean until we rescued a second dog two years ago. She sheds like crazy, so in a matter of days my car can go from pristine to a fine misting of dog hair on nearly every surface. The back seat of the car is so bad the navy blue carpet actually looks gray from all the dog hair. And regular car wash vacuums don't pull that mess off of car floor carpet.

I wash it pretty often, keep the interior clean at all times. Unless i'm on a road trip or picking up food to bring home, no food or drink every in my car.

The cloth seats in my Toyota are a dog hair magnet. And, yes, the vacuums at the car wash are of little help.
Meh....he's a good dog, so I just deal with it.

I got one of those seat cover things, that's helped a lot. But yeah, within maybe two weeks of a complete detailing job it will look as if someone took a garbage bag full of dog hair and just dumped into my car.

I love my leather seats. I plug the hose of my shop-vac into the exhaust port and blow all the dog hair out. Dog hair free in about 90 seconds.

lol

I use an old fitted sheet to cover the back seats and that helps a bit.

I asked my wife the same thing.. how do you end up with shoes in your car.. apparently its because driving in heels ruins the heel part of the shoe. So she drives in clogs, then changes to heels. ummm ok

Is there I can complain about women doing their make-up in the car?
It took you an hour to get ready and you still have to do that?
