Thanks, that's what I was leaning toward but I wanted to check with someone that does hiring.

Cop did show up. When the judge asked him if he had any comments all he said was, "He was very cooperative". I plead guilty with an explanation and he reduced my speed from 88 to 80 which reduced the fine be half (including court costs) and the points from 5 to 2. Always go to court for traffic violations folks...

Would there be a way to turn your smartphone into a wireless mouse? Could the camera act as a mouse sensor?

We had 2 wireless mice (or is it mouses?) but one magically disappeared (toddler). The wife is working from home today so she is using the only one we have left. I sat down at my laptop and my phone was to the right and I instinctively grabbed it like a mouse and thought how useful it might be if it could act as one.

You could turn it into a touchpad app?

Well most laptops have one already but I guess that could work if that broke. I hate the touch pad though. It's fine for basic internet browsing but gaming, spreadsheets, word docs, etc., are best with a physical mouse.

I acquired a trackball mouse for my desk in a similar fashion.

Ever since we switched over to the new Lenovos (T440), we've had a few people come to us about mice. They went to a style of mousepad that is similar to what you would find on a mac. I don't have a problem with it since I used a mac for a few years, but I can see how some users who are used to the two button and touchpad setup wouldn't be happy.

On a sidenote, the battery life on the T440 is amazing. Went a complete day off the dock, sitting through meetings and running between two buildings, and still had about 4 hrs left at the end of the day.

My neighbor puts a chair by his back sliding door (to enter onto his deck) and watches the neighborhood. When someone comes home or opens their garage door he rushes downstairs to spark a conversation. He's a festive southerner who likes conversation and it's just being friendly but good God man sometimes I just want to bring my garbage cans back up and go back inside.

Using your camera as a mouse laser would be great for like, 30 minutes, and then the battery would be dead. ;)

There's an app for that

Anyone have a good suggestion for a quality coffee pot maker? Probably looking in the $60-100 range.

Neighbors house is having the roof done. The smell of the tar and glue and whatever else they're using is wafting over into my house. No good. I couldn't even stay in my kitchen for more than a few minutes.

One street from my house last night, at an intersection I have to go thru every time I leave, there was a carjacking around 9 pm last night. The description of the perp went as follows

The driver described the suspect as a black woman in her 40s or 50s, about 5-foot-3 or 5-4, a chunky build, and a short aftro hair style. Police say she was missing two front teeth and was wearing a pink t-shirt with dark shorts and flip flops.
The driver also told police they believed the robber was drunk.

My boyfriend and I have been living together for 2 & 1/2 yrs. We also worked together for the first yr & 1/2.

In the beginning it's great.... you get to see each other ALL the time.

FWIW, we've never gotten along better than when we stopped working together.

Congrats, though!

Good luck! :D
