Curling is a skill that takes more athletic ability than archery.

I was going back to the Beer In Hand discussion.

But picture football players with those beer helmets. Goodell needs to get on that endorsement deal.

Skeleton is almost like riding a luge sled, just while lying face down and head-first instead of feet first and using a differently modified sled. Also, the racer does not begin in the sled, but runs for about 40 meters before jumping face-first on the sled for the remainder of the ride. Like luge, athletes have to use body angles to guide the sled because there is no steering mechanism, and speeds can hit 90 mph.

to say there is no steering mechanism is a little disingenuous. The luge sled is designed to actually twist with the proper pressure applied to certain points of the sled and is used for steering. I agree it's not like bobseld where the "driver" has the handles to actually steer.

It may have some steering ability, but there is no mechanism as there is in bobsled.

Those skeleton sleds look so much less sophisticated than luge sleds. The look like they are wrapped with black tape.
