I'm sure that there is an amazing degree of body control in skeleton. Also, it doesn't look fun as much as absolutely terrifying

Man, this kid John Daley who didn't medal in the skeleton because of the start on his last run... feel terrible for him.

yeah, feel so bad for him. As the announcers said, he had to go down the entire hill with no hope at all of medaling and just thinking about that start while making sure he doesn't kill himself on the track.

Good grief. I went to four-letter-network.com to get the hockey sked, made the mistake of clicking on an in-site link to what I thought was going to be a clip reel of the Oshie stuff, then got blasted by 90 ads, many of which I couldn't stop.

I have to stop turning on the TV when curling is on...just in time to see the US women miss one shot to give SWE a chance to knock out two of their stones and then US missing the next shot horrendously and give up 2 points to lose in the final end instead and be eliminated from playoff contention.

They were up 1 without the hammer and it looked like they would win...then it looked like they would tie...giving the US the hammer in the next round...then they lost.

haha...I get that...but I turn on the TV, ready to watch some olympics. I wonder what is on and then think - oh curling, not too exciting, but I somehow can watch it...oh it's the US women...oh we are up one in end 10. MISS...MISS....game over. And the day before similar thing happened with the men...tune in just in time to see a horrible miss. Let me get involved for a second or two before you screw it up horribly!

If everything had unfolded like it had, he likely would've ended up in 4th anyways -- it's tough though, since for him, he'll always feel that if he didn't botch that start, he could've landed the bronze.

Tonight is rather boring. I opted for listening to music over watching the games.

I haven't watched anything other than hockey. Will probably remain that way the rest of the Olympics.
